1. Changes to HotDocs 10
A number of changes were made to the HotDocs namespace beginning with the HotDocs 10 release.
These changes, outlined below, are important to understand if you are upgrading from an earlier version of HotDocs 10.

Product Name: HotDocs is now available in four different editions:
- HotDocs Developer: Previously known as HotDocs Professional Edition
- HotDocs Developer LE: Previously known as HotDocs Standard Edition
- HotDocs User: This is a new product similar to HotDocs Player, but it can assemble any template and does not require a HotDocs publishing key.
- HotDocs Player: This free version of HotDocs, which can assemble only published, registered templates, is still known as HotDocs Player.

File Names: The following files have been renamed for HotDocs 10:
- hotdocs.exe (formerly hotdocs6.exe)
- hotdocs.dot (formerly hotdocs6.dot)
- hd_api.dll (formerly hd6api.dll)
- hd_dispatch.exe (formerly hd6dispatch.exe)

Default Installation Folder: By default, HotDocs is now installed in C:\Program Files\HotDocs instead of C:\Program Files\HotDocs 6.

Registry Keys: HotDocs now stores registry information in the following locations:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > HotDocs > HotDocs
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > HotDocs > HotDocs
(Previously, these registry keys were found under "... > LexisNexis > HotDocs 6".)

Word Processors: HotDocs now supports the use of the following new word processors:

Interviews

Silverlight Interview: Templates intended for use with HotDocs Server can now be test-assembled using the Microsoft Silverlight web application framework.
- Desktop & JavaScript Interviews: Desktop and JavaScript interviews have been updated and improved for HotDocs 10.

PDF Support: The functionality previously provided by HotDocs PDF Advantage is now integrated with HotDocs 10.
2. New Features and Enhancements
The following new features and enhancements were implemented for the HotDocs 10.2 release:

Template Upload: HotDocs Developer now contains a feature for publishing templates to Web sites
that utilize HotDocs Core Services.
3. Known Software Issues Fixed in HotDocs 10.2
The following software issues, which existed in HotDocs 10.1, have been resolved in HotDocs 10.2:

Fixed issue where paragraph numbering in an inserted template was lost (Issue #4359)

Deleting the last repetition in a series now moves you to the previous repetition (Issue #4351)

4. Known Software Issues Fixed in HotDocs 10.1
The following software issues, which existed in HotDocs 10.0.3, have been resolved in HotDocs 10.1:
- When two dialogs contain list-style Multiple Choice variables in the same location, artifacts such as the selected option are no longer carried over when moving from one dialog to the next. (Issue #4272)
- In browser interviews, HIDE and SHOW now work properly with dialog elements that appear multiple times on a single dialog (Issue #4266)
- Grouping True/False variables on a dialog that contains the same dialog element multiple times now works correctly (Issue #4265)
- When the operating system's language uses a comma as the decimal separator, Silverlight interviews no longer fail to compile (Issue #4254)

Deleting a variable that has focus in Form Document tab no longer causes an error (Issue #4246)

Styles are no longer removed during assembly of template with multiple nested inserts (Issue #4244)

- Delete key in multiple line text fields removes one character instead of two (Issue #4091).
7. Known Software Issues Fixed in HotDocs 10.0.1
The following software issues, which existed in HotDocs 10, have been resolved in HotDocs 10.0.1:

Components used in a plain text resource are now treated as being "used."
Previously, Template Manager and the Used In tab of component editors did not list these components as being used. (Issue #3850)

HotDocs scripts that check to see if a Multiple Choice variable's answer is "None of the Above" now return the correct answer. (Issue #3876)
- Various issues have been fixed related to focus while interacting with the interview dialogs.

Multi-line prompts for True/False variables are no longer truncated when the prompt position is set to Left. (Issue #3882)

Answers containing line breaks no longer overlap cell boundaries when displayed in a spreadsheet (Issue #3894)

Form templates that use a custom interview, and also automatically disable irrelevant variables and dialogs, no longer produce empty interviews. (Issue #3909)
